Pictures say 1,000 words?

On Wednesdays we “walk in the Word” through study & application of Biblical doctrine. Rightly understanding Biblical doctrine fuels doxology, delight in Jesus, & gospel centered discipleship. Today we follow up a short series on knowing God through General revelation by looking at pictures and a poem. CLICK HERE for the series on General Revelation.
If creation proclaims God's Divine nature and His eternal power (Romans 1:20-21) and creation still speaks (Psalm 19:1-3), what do these pictures say...? Below are pictures of rainbows following storms and  a sunrise following a long stormy day. All pictures were  taken in the last week @TheDwellingMountainHome.

Key Verse
"
The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning;  great is your faithfulness." Lamentations 3:22-23

The Poem:
George Matheson was a British pastor and hymn writer. When he was young, Matheson was engaged to be married. Tragically, he began losing his sight, going blind, and his fiancé decided to leave him because she did not want to be married to a blind man! In deep heartache, Matheson became very close to his sister (and went deeper into studying theology). On the evening of his sister’s wedding, the blind man looking ahead at his life and seeing he had no human love to hold him, wrote his most famous hymn- “Oh Love that will not let me go…” Two verses of the poem are worthy of note:

Verse one: “O love that will not let me go, I rest my weary soul in thee. I give the back the life I owe, that in thine ocean depths its flow, may richer, fuller, be…”
Verse three: “O Joy that sleekest me through pain, I cannot close my heart to thee. I trace the rainbow through the rain, and feel the promise is not vain- that morn shall tearless be.

Richly Dwelling
-What does God reveal about His divine nature through rainbows after storms and in sunrises after dark and stormy nights?
-What does God reveal about His eternal power through rainbows after storms and in sunrises after dark and stormy nights?
-Take a moment to reflect and record what God is speaking to you about His divine nature and eternal power through His creation.
